Hey everyone!  First of all I miss the Sunday announcement of my NO LIMITS blog winner…it is Michelle F.  Michelle, please email me at kathygwrites @ gmail.com to claim your prize!

The reason why I missed posting on Sunday is that my parents arrived for a month long visit!!  I’m so excited to have them here.  This is the first time they’ve been able to come to the UK for a visit and while I’ve been to Florida to visit them, I am very happy to have them here.  Also, both of my kids are here as well so for these last weeks of the Indian Summer I have them all here.

Last week I had a book that was due and wrote really long hours each day to make sure I had it finished before they arrived so I could have free time when they are here for the visit.  I feel so lucky to be an author every day but its times like this–when I’d have to ask for weeks off from a 9-5 job–that I feel very blessed that I get to do what I do.

I keep wanting to write some very sappy stuff about my kids and how I’m glad they are adults but also how much I miss having them home all the time…but it’s Tuesday we don’t need that!  And I’m having so much fun with my hubby, mom and dad and kiddos that I really don’t need to.

I am looking forward to doing an author event in London on Friday with my publisher and lots of authors who also write for them.  It’s going to be fun.  🙂 Also we are taking a small mini vacation to the south of England and staying near the New Forest and doing all kinds of fun touristy things next week.

What about you?  What are you doing that’s fun in September?  Anyone digging the #PSL? I don’t have a Starbucks near me so it might be Friday when I’m in London before I can have one!

I’m giving away a e-book copy of NO LIMITS.  Just comment on this blog to be entered to win.

Happy reading!

Kathy

My brother is getting married next Saturday, so most of my summer has been spent in anticipation and getting everything ready. As for the psl, that, I don’t look forward to. I hope you have a nice time with your parents and kids.
I don’t need to be entered for the book, I already have it! 🙂

September is filled with camping. We leave later this morning for the Ohio Good Sam rally which will last until Sunday. Next week we have a meeting, my husband’s doctor appointment, my mom’s doctor appointment, my chest x-ray (I’m getting over pneumonia). All this the first two days of the week. Then we go camping with our camping club. The following week is the Kentucky Good Sam Rally. We leave there and head to Myrtle Beach for a couple of weeks. We will visit our son and his family on our way home.

I can’t even think about PSL. It’s still summery here. I am going to the Historical Romance Retreat next week!

Thank you for the chance but I don’t use e-readers for health reasons. I always look forward to September because of my baby girl’s birthday, she will be 24. So I know how you feel having the kids out of the house. I love when they come home to visit.

Events in September in my house include meeting oldest at the seamstress’ house for final fitting of her wedding gown. Having one more bridal shower after the one last Saturday. Finishing up the table runners for the wedding. As you can tell it’s wedding time in my house, but the actual event isn’t until October 16th. There are just so many things that have to be taken care of beforehand.

Thanks for the chance at this wonderful sounding book. Enjoy your visit with your parents.

I’m wishing for a PSFrapp. I can’t get into Fall mood when the highs are still in the 90s and the AC I the store is failing. . .

Resumed competitive badminton three times per week … had BFFs over for the day to gab and eat … watching my daughter and her husband’s ball playoffs … and enjoying that my husband, who broke his hip socket in August, is recovering slowly but surely. Now THAT is the best news ever (as his helmet took the brunt of the fall and he had no brain damage).
