Lucky Number 13?

I just turned in the complete of my October book, One Night With the Doctor.  Which was good, because it was due today!  In the last month before a book is due, I begin cutting back on my outside activities.  And, as that deadline draws near, I quit reading other books.  My thought is if I have extra time, I need to be writing.

Even though I should jump into my next book, I’m allowing myself some extra time to do a little reading.  Because I love to read.  My fondest memories growing up are of walking to the library and returning with an armful of books.  I could read three to five books in one day (if that’s all I did) because I was–and still am–a very fast reader.

In fact, an ideal day for me would be sitting on my deck in upper seventies weather with something cool to drink and a book in my hand.  What do I most like to read?  Romance, of course.

I’ve recently completed all of the JD Robb books…and plan to continue reading that series.  I just ordered the latest Nora Roberts book on audio (Whiskey Beach).  The book I read most recently was What Happens At Christmas by Victoria Alexander.  Though I didn’t get to it until after Christmas, I enjoyed it very much.

I have 13 books that I’m going to give away this week to 13 lucky people who comment.  If you’ve won a lot of my books in the past, no worries, I’m sure I have one you don’t have.  :)   Winners will be announced on Sunday, so check back then!

To be entered into the lucky 13 drawing all you have to do is comment by answering this simple question:

What book are you currently reading?  OR What is the last book you read?

This should be a way for us all to get better acquainted and hey, with 13 books up for grabs, you might just get some new reading material in the process!

I am currently reading and enjoying “The Importance of Being Wicked” by Victoria Alexander.

Just spent most of the day at our Reading Festival here in Fort Myers, Florida. So many authors for adults, teens and children. Lots of activities for the children and book giveaways for them too. We love to go every year with our daughter, SIL and two grandchildren. It’s always so much fun. I’m thankful that my family are all big readers. We love it!

I am reading Serendipity by Carly Philips which is my 19th book of the year. I read your latest book last month and loved it. When I was growing up my grandparents lived within three blocks of the library. I was in heaven being able to walk there and bring home an armful of books.

13 is my lucky number :) I just started reading Karen Doornebos’s novel Definitely Not Mr Darcy. The heroine washed herself in a pond overflowing with frogs. It made me laugh, I’m hoping it will continue to be a fun read.

Congrats on your new book and making the deadline, Cindy! I have been reading a lot of novellas lately. I really am looking forward to Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton Epilogues; my fave story is still Penelope and Colin’s.

I have started the 3-part novel THE LADY MOST WILLING and am enjoying it. The humor, in just the first 20 pages, is wonderful! I don’t know which part was written by the 3 authors and I think this shows how well they write a story together like this…seamless writing, if you know what I mean.
