A Case of Kiss And Tell

My new release A Case of Kiss and Tell, this is the third book in the Matchmakers, Inc. series and tells the story of reporter Nichole Reynolds who’ll do anything to get her story.  And media shy billionaire recluse Conner Macafee who happens to own Matchmakers, Inc.  Click here to read an excerpt!

Conner is one of those guys who pretty much keeps himself out of the limelight and away from scandal having grown up surrounded by hit as a teenager when his father’s secret life was revealed.  And Nichole wants to be the reporter who finally gets him to talk.  They both have something the other wants.  Conner simply wants the fiery redhead who crashed his family’s Fourth of July party in his bed.  And Nichole of course wants the elusive and exclusive interview with Conner so she can get that figurative corner office.

Both of them are tough characters who don’t want to give an inch or reveal to the world or each other that they have any chinks in their armor.  I love how they both are willing to reach for what they want and have that belief that they can out maneuver the other one.  Both of them see only strength in themselves and weakness in each other.

I’ve always been one of those people who is willing to do whatever it takes to make my dreams come true so in that respect I can easily identify with both Conner and Nichole.

But I think in this case I’m more like Conner who is very reclusive.   I am also very quietly stubborn about it.  I don’t like for the world to see the things that matter most to me or my own struggles to achieve them. Unlike Nichole who puts her desires out there for the world to see and then boldly goes after them.

What about you?  Are you more like Conner or Nichole?  I’m giving away a copy of A Case of Kiss and Tell to one commenter today.

A CASE OF KISS AND TELL sounds fabulous, Kathy! I love the setup. =) I guess I’m more of a mixture between Conner and Nichole when it comes to privacy. I’m very much an introvert, but I also like to connect with people by sharing certain things about my life with them. Of course, when my life revolves around how many times SuperGirl goes to the potty each day, I kind of feel sorry for those who have to hear about it. ;)

Thanks, Elise! I remember when my kids were young and they were all I talked about. But to be fair I still just chat about them all the time.

You’re potty comment about SuperGirl reminds me of when my daughter was potty training she used to clap when anyone else used the “potty”. One time my sister took her to the bathroom and Court got the entire line of people to clap for Aunt Donna when she used the potty. :)

I’m a very private person, and more like Connor. Don’t let anyone I don’t know very well in on what’s keeping my life, mind and heart occupied.

I tend to be like Conner. I do like my privacy. However, I’m very curious about things and enjoy researching subjects that interest me. I like to watch the news and want to know what’s happening in the world. Having written that, I have to add that I want to know internationally important things but I think that too much attention is paid to the private lives of individuals. I’m interested in news, not gossip.

Connie–I’m a news junkie. I have all the different apps for the news outlets on my iPhone and check in all the time. But I like gossip too. I’m just fascinated by the things people do.

I love books where the characters are trying to out maneuver one another. That’s my favorite kind of story.
And I’m totally not a news hound, so I guess I’m more like Connor.

I would be more like Connor. I just couldn’t take down a person to obtain my own ambition. I would feel horrible if I did that.

I’m a lot like Conner. At the RWA my conference, my roommates had to make me leave the room. I just want to go into my bear cave.

Katherine, my daughter claps for me and my husband when we use the potty right now. I fear the scenario you described and try not to have to go in public restrooms! And Elise, yesterday Baby Galen used the potty exactly 0 times. A couple weeks ago I had to change all of one diaper. It’s a marathon, right?

A case of Kiss and Tell sounds really good. I like it when the characters have complex issues to overcome.

Shana; Thanks! On potty training it never seems to end and then one day you’ll realize you haven’t had to use diapers in awhile. :)

Hi Katherine! A CASE IF KISS AND TELL sounds wonderful!

I am more like Conner. I am an introvert and am very shy at sharing my life with anyone outside my family and friends. It is hard for me to get to know people because I am so shy.

      Hi Cathy P!

I’m the exact same way. I have a friend who tells everyone all the details of her life and I always feel a little embarrassed at what’s she’s sharing. Its like she’s too exposed and I want to protect her. But she’s fine with.

    Kathy,

I came from a family that was more private, so I lean more in that direction. Like you, I have a friend who shares every intimate detail of her life and it amazes me how open she is.

    Your new book sounds wonderful!

Congrats on the new book, Kathy! I’m more like Connor. I share with a few close friends, but other than that, I’m a very private person.

I enjoy most people and love hearing about their life but I’m more of a listener than a teller when it comes to my personal life. I love debating and discussing though. I’m not much of a go getter when it comes to getting what I want though. I was taught if you work hard it will come to you but unfortunately that’s not how it always works.
