Relationship bucket list

So this past weekend The Professor and I went and saw Les Miserables on their official tour. I saw the show several years ago in London and to this day it remains my all time favorite musical. I remember sitting in that theatre that first time and I swear I think I cried through the entire show and then when it was all over, I just wanted everyone to leave so that I could sit and weep for a while. It struck me on so many levels. The music is powerful and moving, the story compelling, hopeful yet heart wrenching and the singing, well, there are hardly adjectives to describe it.

Early in our dating life we were talking about movies that we both liked and he mentioned that one of his top five favorites was the Les Miserables version with Liam Neeson. He hadn’t ever seen the broadway show and hadn’t even heard the music. I knew right then that it was something I wanted to share with him. I knew he’d love it. And he did. Totally and completely. It was magical to share it with him and it was just as moving and amazing as I remembered.

There are lots of things that I want to experience with him, mostly it’s travel related stuff, but this was definitely a big one. So how about y’all, do you have like a bucket list of things you want to do with your partner? Have you ever gotten to share something with them that was so special to you? And have y’all ever seen Les Mis on stage?

I also saw Les Mis in London and loved it. I see it every time it comes to Denver and every time, I cry. Did you know they are making a movie of it with Hugh Jackman? Comes out in December. Just watching the previews made me cry.

I don’t have a partner, but I do have a bucket list. I’d like to dive with sharks (in a cage of course!)

Well, I got him to watch the BBC Pride and Prejudice, West Side Story, and Casablanca. Next is The Sound of Music. I think he wants me to watch some 12-hour documentary on college football.

I saw Les Mis in NYC and loved it. I also saw the traveling Broadway show when it was in Nebraska.

My husband loves Les Mis (the movie) but doesn’t have a desire to see it live (he likes to get up and move around whenever he feels like it)

I have never seen Les Miz. I know – what’s the matter with me!! But I am looking forward to seeing the movie with Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway. That girl can really sing!

I saw Les Mis in London many years ago, and remember it being fabulous! I also saw Cats in London when I was dating the Brit who became my husband; that show was wonderful, too. I don’t have a bucket list, but I’d love to travel to Italy with my husband sometime.

Never saw it, stage, screen, nuttin. I know, I know. I want to. I will. Bucket list-wise, I guess I’d love to live in a strange city for a month or so with my honey, wander the streets, discover the cool places to eat. Maybe Venice. Or Portland, OR.

I just saw the previews for the movie and it looks wonderful. I wish I had seen the play – maybe someday. I just saw Snow White and the Huntsman – very enjoyable!
