I have just had the best weekend I’ve had in a really long time. My family was all around me and my best-friend flew in. We talked sometimes all of us at once, we laughed and reminisced about old days. Its just the kind of happy times that help remind me why I write romance.
I love the bonds that falling in love creates between a couple. I like to explore how that bond between two people expands to help create a community.
This weekend I was reminded of how much I love my little community!!!
What about you? How do you refill your well?

I’ll usually go out to lunch with my daughters or with my friends. Sometimes I call my brother who lives in Oklahoma City and we talk on the phone for hours. I always seem to feel better after we have a nice long talk.

I like going on day trips picking a town no more than anhour away and seeing the museums or historical places in that town.

A trip to the UK would do it!
So does catching up on all my reading, but that probably will never happen – my TBR pile is gigantic.

Oh I’m right there with you, Margo! Or the Caribbean….
But since I’m not traveling, then I can refill my well in a variety of ways – going to see a good movie, spending time with The Professor, having a brainstorming day with my girls, or even just a play day with the girls, going to an RWA meeting/conference, listening and singing to great music…
And isn’t it wonderful to stop and be thankful for your blessings, Kathy, what a great post.

I find just a few hours to myself helps so much. I might read, take a walk, or just drink a cup of coffee. I need alone time.

A yearly vacation to Hawaii where my biggest decision each day is which beach to go to and what book to read refills my well. That, together with several weekend get-a-ways in the motor home with good friends works wonders.
