I have to confess that though I enjoy their music, I’ve not gotten to know the Beatles individually; I think Paul’s the one who’s gotten the most exposure in recent years. And have fun with RAIN! That sounds like a delightful concert to see!

My favorite Beatle was Ringo. I think I was more attracted to his unique name than his looks or personality. It is interesting however how truly timeless the Beatles are. My daughter told me their prom theme this year is going to be Prom 2010, Let It Be. They are going all out; the junior class painting bigger than life portraits of the fabulous group. I can’t wait to go check out their decorations.

LOL, Terri! Love your post! Paul was always my favorite, too! Like you, I was too young to see the Beatles in concert, but a few years ago, my husband and I were given free tickets for a box seat and a limo for the night for a Paul McCartney concert in Houston. It was one of the highlights of my life! And yes, I felt like a young girly fan all over again. Cried like a baby when he sang Yesterday. We were at DisneyWorld this Christmas break and we saw the group that sings at Epcot. What a lovely memory, sitting in the garden in the British section with a bunch of strangers and all of us smiling and singing We All Live in a Yellow Submarine. One of those rare moments when the world seems perfect!

I’m going to have to stir things up a bit here…I definitely fall on John’s side of the John vs. Paul debate.
You can’t beat John and Paul working together, but I like John’s solo career much better than Paul’s.
I think “Imagine” is one of the most beautiful songs ever written.
And John wrote one of my favorite lesser-known Beatles songs, “Julia.”
I still have a place in my heart for all of the Beatles, though, and I’ve never changed anyone’s mind in the John/Paul debate, so I’m willing to agree to disagree!
I have no quarrel with a fellow Beatles fan!

I definitely loved the Beatles but couldn’t understand the screaming and crying lol. Paul was the cutest, George was shy, John seemed nice and I felt sorry for Ringo lol.

I never have been a fan of the Beatles, just don’t get the enthusiasm about their music. But then againI was only 5 or 6 when John Lennon was killed. I’m actually more of the generation who knew his son and his music, as short lived as that was. But of course I’m familiar with the Beatles and there were those I went to high school with that were big fans, but it just doesn’t jive with me.

Now all that being said, I was a fan of the Monkees – I used to watch their show when I came home from school. I had a huge crush on Davy Jones. *sigh*

My dad was a HUGE Beatle fan. He was always singing their songs, mostly off key. I have some good memories coming up hearing a song like Yesterday or Let it Be. But I am not a fan myself nor have I a favorite Beatle.
