Knowing that you mean that much to the person you love is incredible. And loving to the extent that you're willing to give up something yourself--it can be a gift to yourself, too. Mutual respect, friendship, being able to laugh together, all part of it for me. But I love awards night speeches too - well, some of them, I often get annoyed when things get too self-congratulatory or too politically focused. Sometimes I think they misuse the platform. Doesn't matter if I know the actor or the movie...if it's a good speech, I get all choked up! Selflessness is indeed a great indicator of True Love, but I agree with Margo. I have to admit, my husband is more so than I am, BUT I have learned through him and much better at it. I loved Mo'Nique's speech too.
