I accept that a lot of people don’t believe in making New Year’s resolutions but I’ve always been a fan of them. In fact, I think we should make resolutions throughout the year. Especially if they are the kind where we’re trying to better ourself.
You know what I mean….lose weight, eat nutritiously, do a random act of kindness every day, exercise every day, make more time for family.
This year I made the same resolution that I make every year…I want to eat more nutritiously. Even though I don’t always keep that resolution, I think by making it I do better than if I don’t even try.
What about you? Do you make resolutions? Only at the first of the new year? Or at other times as well?

I didn’t make a resolution this year. I have lots of things I’d like to do better. I’d like to be better. Maybe when I can check one of those off the list, I’ll be ready to add something new.

I set two sets of goals for my resolutions. There is a short set of goals and then my main goal. They are usually centered around writing and career. This year my big goal is to GET AN AGENT!!!! YEAH!!
Cheers!

Shana,
Sounds like in your own way you’re making resolutions to “do things better.” Good for you!
Tonya,

I like to set resolutions for the New Year. It helps to give me a focus. In 2010, I aim to increase my writing production and take better care of myself with a regular exercise program.

Hi Cindy, I am not big on making resolutions. I never stick to them. I prefer to do things as they come along, and I don’t make a list to get them accomplished. Not sure if that makes any sense.
Peace and love,

I make them but I never stick with them! This year I want to exercise, eat healthier and loose some weight. So far I haven’t got started yet! Hubby goes back to work Monday, maybe I can get started then.

I love New Years resolutions! Here are mine for this year:
1. Get more organized! My plan for this is to start by decluttering one area of the house each week (ie. the drawers in the bathroom, etc.) I figure by doing just a little bit a day I can get the whole house in shape by the end of the year. The trick will be to actually stick with it.
2. Exercise more.
3. Eat more veggies!

I don’t usually make resolutions, I think because of the stigma attached to them. Resolutions just begged to be broken. So I prefer to set goals. And I haven’t yet gotten to mine, so perhaps that should be my first goal – set annual goals. :0) You think that means I’m off to a bad start?
