One final comment -- Mo mentioned William being one of her ancestors... I found out that my husband's name - Brisbin - is of Norman French origins -- from Brisbois - which means 'bone breaker' and was the name given to William's torturer!! He gifted this man with lands and eventually the family moved to northern England/southern Scotland and then to the New World in the NY area!

Sounds like a story idea in there to me!

And -- the winner of a book and a prize is......

 LOIS!!

Lois - email me at terri @ terribrisbin.com (without the spaces) and let me know if there's one of my books you'd like and we'll talk!

Thanks to everyone for commenting!

I have this book about history of habits and it looks like nobody was very good at keeping their emotions under any kind of control.

There are some people in history that interests me: Samuel Bellamy, the pirate, captain James Cook and David Thompson, a Canadian guy. Just to name a few. And I also find Finland during the Swedish and Russian rule quite interesting.

Hi, Terri! William sounds like quite an... intense person! As for a time and place in history--it would be incredible to witness the risen Christ; to have been with Mary in the garden outside the tomb when He revealed Himself again. I'm sure there are plenty of other people and times that I'd find fascinating, too--that's one reason I read :) Congrats on A Night for Her Pleasure--what's the timing of the other related releases?

Welcome Terri, great post. I have always been interested in the Civil War. I love reading books from that time period. Gone With The Wind has always been one of my favorite reads. I have never read any of your books but would love to.

Terri,

William certainly was a man you never wanted as an enemy LOL My ancestors were part of his campaign to win over England, traveling with his forces from Bretony to England.

As to a character I'd love to see more written about...it would be Catherine the Great...and all her lovers LOL I once saw a movie about her, and wondered how different history would be if she had been able to marry the man she loved.

I also hated the ending of Dr Zhivago...I really think the two should have had a happy ending LOL

Margo --

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Oh, there were some colorful popes indeed! I wonder if that story about one of them actually being a woman could be true? Hmmmmm?

Catslady --

Say Attilia the Hun and all I can think of is....Gerard Butler! So, great answer!!

Maureen --

Someone from the more recent past... I do wonder what really happened to her?

Thanks for posting!

LOIS!!

I have been fascinated with Hatshepsut since I was in junior high -- I suspect I was her in a previous life, but that's only if reincarnation really happens, right?!

My brother just went to Egypt and yeppers, he visited Deir el Bahri - Hatshepsut's funerary temple. He sent pics back, but he's off my Christmas list for not taking me with him...
