Lately, I’ve been on a paranormal kick. I LOVE the Twilight series of books. Ghost Whisperer is my favorite television show. I’m fascinated by psychics and what they profess to be able to do.
But I realized when writing this blog, that I don’t know a single person with psychic ability. No one who can see the future. No one who sees spirits. No one who can read minds. I don’t even know anyone who knows anyone who is psychic.
Is it just me? Are psychics rare? Do you know ANYONE with ANY psychic abilities?? If so, I’d like to hear about them.

I know of one here in Reykjavik, it is an elderly lady who can see dead people and I think Ive heard that she can see things before they happen, not often but it happens. But I don´t know her personally. She has published her story as a book, apparently her mother tried to drown her when she was little. It was pretty nasty and she has had to keep all those things to her self all through her life. I would definitely not want to be one.

I don’t know any psychics. But I think it does make for great conflict in stories, for exactly the reasons in Solveig’s post. People are intrigued but scared of the very idea of psychics.

My daughter has correctly every baby’s gender since she was 3. We’re talking dozens of babies. She’s never been wrong, not even once. We’re thinking of hiring her out as the human ultrasound or something…Does this count?
