New home

Don’t you hate moving? There’s all the packing and labeling and then unpacking and… well, none of this actually applies when the new home in question is really just your home page. Have you checked out www.RobynDeHart.com today? Go ahead, go check, I’ll wait. Oh, it doesn’t look any different? Clean your cache.

Now you see. Isn’t it beautiful? With the new series coming out next year, I really felt it was time for a new change and I couldn’t miss an opportunity for working with a new company from my home town. They did a fantastic job and I just couldn’t be happier. The new design really evokes the atmosphere for my writing and especially my Legend Hunter series.

In addition to the new design I’ve reorganized and streamlined existing content to make the site more user friendly. I hope you all love it as much as I do.

So what do you think makes a great website? What makes you bookmark a site to visit again and again?

    Robyn, it looks awesome!!

As to what makes a website great for me… no distracting graphics that move, no music that blares randomly out of my speakers and most of all… frequently updated content!!!

It is beautiful!!! I really love it.
It looks sexy and smart, which is exactly what your books are.

And I agree with Jenna. Too much stuff moving around or glaring at me just makes me want to leave.

It’s fabulous, Robyn … Did you add that graphic of the kiss after you showed it to us? I don’t remember it from before.

Looks good, Robyn. I like how you have the teaser info on the home page. I can click to get more info, but it gives me an overview of what you’re up to. Nice job!

Margo, no the kissing couple has been there since the first draft, but they’re hard to see at first. Once you see them though, you can’t not see them, they’re like those hidden pictures.

Thanks, Shane. There’s actually another bit that will be put on the homepage as well, but it was a last minute decision on my part so it will show up later. I just think the designer did a bang-up job and she had such fantastic ideas.

I checked out your new site, and it is lovely. It really helps to sell your books. I bookmark sites that have a daily blog that interests me (like this one), and I keep tabs on monthly contests.

Robyn, the site looks great. Very nice! What makes me go back to a site – is if there are changes made, or more importantly, book information. I really appreciate it when an author has an up to date book site – with book pages and *excerpts.* I think that might be the number one reason why I’ll visit an author site.

Robyn, it looks full of fabulousity!!! I can’t wait to get some time to really look at everything.

I’m in the crowd who likes things updated frequently. And I always love to know what the author is currently working on too.

Updates! New/ongoing projects, books, ‘behind the scenes’ from books, & classes, but I will admit that frequently updated kitty pictures are also a draw.

    Maybe that’s just me.
