I’m an AmericanIdolHolic and I’m in the mood to talk AI.
I’ve watched American Idol since the beginning. I have never missed a season. In fact, once it’s over for the year, I go through withdrawal. Tuesday nights just don’t seem the same without AI on Fox.
Season One–I was happy Kelly Clarkson won. Justin G just didn’t do it for me. Of all the other seasons, Carrie Underwood is my favorite contestant. I also have to admit I was a Clay Aiken fan and really,really,really wanted him to win.
This season? My favorites are David A and David C.
What about you?

Oh I LOVE Idol! I like Carly (the Irish girl) and the Michael Johns. I do like David A. but I think he’s kinda boring. I know, I must be the only one on earth that thinks like that but sometimes I think the songs he chooses are too old for him. (I wish he’d do like David C. and change it up a little)

I’m a huge AI fan, too!! I’ve been watching it from the start as well. My faves this year are Michael Johns, David Cook, Carly Smithson and Brooke White. Sorry, but David A realllllly gets on my nerves. I mean, he sings good and all, but I’m over that “Golly gee, you really think I’m good?” act.

I am with Andrea on David A. I think he is a brown nose and his goofy smile gets on my nerves, he can sing but he’s a little on the boring side. I like Michael J, David Cook for the guys and Brook for the ladies. I think a guy will win this year. It will be between Michael and David Cook.

You’re right about David A….but I think some of the boring part is because he’s young. Did you know he was on Starsearch (remember that show?) when he was thirteen or so….and won $100,000??
I totally forgot about Michael Johns…who I like too! His accent is the best.
Of the girls, Brooke is my favorite but I really think the finals will be between two guys.

Nope, not us. Even having a contestant from just down the road from us (Kristie Lee) isn’t enough to get my dh over his aversion to reality TV and especially singing.
We had Dancing w/the Stars on the other night in the background while we were reading (wanted to see if Marlee Matlin was still in the running), and it took the entire hour-long episode to announce who was out. Ugh. Can’t stand slow pacing. Give me Cash Cab on the Discovery Channel, where the questions and answers and results come fast and fun!
