Well Kitty
Written by Shana in Jaunty Post
Love this picture. Doesn’t it look like she’s posing?
I wanted to give everyone an update on my kitty Roxie. Those of you who are regular visitors to the blog know that she has been sick for about a month with fatty liver disease. Well, she finally got a clean bill of health! After a month of force-feeding her, giving her half a dozen pills a day, and worrying pretty much all the time, Roxie is eating on her own and her liver enzyme levels are back to normal.
I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to have my kitty back! Roxie has a little yellow stuffed bunny USF and I call Mr. Bunny. When Roxie started playing with Mr. Bunny again, I knew she was feeling better.
Thank you for all your support and kind words. Roxie thanks you, too!

Have you had any good news lately? Tell me about it or the lack of it. One person who comments will get very good news! Choice of a signed copy of either BLACKTHORNE’S BRIDE or my chick lit as Shane Bolks, REALITY TV BITES.

Haven Rich Says:
Oh my goodness that is wonderful news!
My good news is the auction isn’t a complete flop lol. Yay!
But more importantly, life is returning to normal after my father-in-law’s surgery last week.
AndreaW Says:
Glad to hear that little Roxie is better, Shana!
Good news? My hubby and I are taking the kids to Disney World next month! Can’t wait!
Jenna Petersen Says:
That’s great that your cat is better, Shane. It’s so stressful when they’re sick.
My good news is that I just got asked to be in a new anthology for Red next year. So I’ll have three books out!
ladydawgfan Says:
Shana, I am so happy to hear that Roxie is feeling on the mend!! She looks so much like my little Pebbles that they could almost be twins!!
My good news? Ummm, well, hmm. What a boring life I live . . .
Okay, now I know!! I’ve been steadily losing weight over the past months (a good thing!) and I get to go buy new clothes since what I own is all too big for me!! Not much on the big news front, but I’ll take what I can!!

Anne Mallory Says:
Yay, Roxie! Yay, Shane!
Haven, hugs on your fil’s surgery!
Andrea, Disney!!
Jenna, three books! W00T!

Glad to hear about Roxie. We will be hosting a wedding in May. Wonderful celebration.
RobynDeHart Says:
Oh, Shane, that’s fantastic news. I know you were so worried. I’m glad Roxie is feeling more like herself.
I got VERY good news last week, but I’ll post the details sometime soon.
Shana Galen Says:
It’s so great to hear all the good news–trips and babies and weddings! Who else has good news, big or small?
brownone Says:
Wow, great news all around! I’m happy Roxie’s better!
Well, life’s pretty boring here. I guess the best news so far is that the kids made honor roll for a second semester with all A’s. I was so scared they would have a hard time in the gifted program but they are doing great!
Margo Maguire Says:
Hmmm… No great news here. But that’s excellent about Roxie! Now you can quit worrying, Shane!
Kathryn Says:
Yay! I’m so glad to hear Roxie is well. I was SO hoping Roxie would pull through as my experience with this disease was negative.
Good news??? My kids are all healthy and happy… I am always grateful for that. And, well, we made the big step of sending my daughter’s horse down to Florida to compete with the coach and he starts tomorrow, so we’re hoping for good news/results! Something wrong with this picture tho… horse is in Florida for three months and I am up here enduring snow and bitter cold!?!?
Maureen Says:
Such good news that Roxie is doing well. The good news in our house is that the Giants are in the Superbowl.
Dorothy Says:
That’s really great that Roxie is feeling better, Shana. Glad she’s back to her old self again.
Not much good news with me, but no bad news either, which I guess is good news. There you have it! lol
stefanie d Says:
Well, I’ve accidently bought some books twice. So my good news is that I’ve already sold most of those double books!!!
Amy Says:
Woots Roxie!!!
Congrats Shana, I know from my sister and her doggie that having to nurse a sick pet it is wonderful to see such terrific results.
Everyone has such wonderful news, this is such an inspiring post!!! My news is that my friend has a defective heart valve and her Dr. was not optamitic for her check-up. Nor was she feeling good. However, she did wonderfully, and her Dr. said that she stayed on the treadmill far longer than someone her age normally would! I am so happy and proud!!! Woots for my friend Karen.

The good news is that I don’t owe any taxes.
Nathalie Says:
The good news… I am over-worked and tired!! That was me trying sarcasm
Lily Says:
Glad all is well
I have not had many good news lately… actually have not gotten any news!
catslady Says:
I’m so glad for you that Roxie is well now. She looks just like one of my cats, Ollie, who I nursed and was a feral kitten who got motor oil thrown on her! I too have a sick cat who is 17 so we have our fingers crossed. But the good news is she seems better than she did last month.
Laura Says:
I read this blog all the time but didn’t realize (or forgot) that your baby was sick. But I’m glad she’s better!
News? Um, I, uh, registered for another college class. I might would think that was good news, if I wasn’t feeling overwhelmingly anxious about it.
Mary M Says:
That’s wonderful news about Roxie!!
Notte Says:
I’m so glad that Roxie is better
As for good news, well, I just started college so I am extremely proud of myself for that. I also started writing again because of the inspiration that I have received throughout my class and its only been two weeks! I plan to go year round for the news two to four years so I can graduate earlier and throw myself out into the world.
I started to work on writing novels again and so far its coming out great; maybe I’ll woman up and try getting published… don’t know if my nerves can handle it, but whats the worst they could say? No?
