You made the right decision. I can see how a cat would suffer a lot from this. Roxie is doing better these last few days. We got her some more Vetalog (Pepcid AC) to help with her nausea. She doesn't have jaundice, so that's a plus. I just keep praying she will eat more on her own. Oh, Kathryn, I’m so sorry about Pippin. You made the right decision. Roxie is doing better these last few days. We got her some more Vetalog (Pepcid AC) to help with her nausea. She doesn’t have jaundice, so that’s a plus. I just keep praying she will eat more on her own.

He was a beautiful, 3 year old Maine Coon cat. He became so weak he developed a huge abcess and we decided, based on quality of life, that his time had come. It was very hard and he is much missed. It was a decision supported by my wonderful vet as poor Pip was just getting weaker and sicker. We decided against the implanted feeding tube and he just could not keep anything down. I had to give him a shot three times a week and pills twice a day, and his chances were pretty slim. But his body seems to have adapted and he's still with us, and in fact helped Derby knock down the Christmas tree this morning. Don't give up on her, Shane, it does get easier.
