William Tell Overture for Mothers

My Mom sent this to me yesterday. After Margo’s touching post, here’s a little mom humor. :D Anyone had an experience with this – from either side of the coin? Any particular phrase that is your favorite?

    OMGS!!! That is TOO funny!

I think mine is: I can’t wait til you have kids one day, just wait and see.

    Oy, she was so right!!

LOL! I love this and have watched it numerous times and oh yes, I’ve used a few of those….

“Don’t make me come down there”
“Can’t wait till you have a couple little children of your own”
“I’d thank you not to roll your eyes at me”
“I don’t care who started it”
“If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a thousand times…”

My kids are only 8 and 4 at the moment, but I’m certain I’ll use a few more of these sayings more than once in the coming years!

Oh and one I don’t think was mentioned that I tend to use often is, “Am I going to have to separate you two?”

I heard this a while ago on my favourite Montreal morning radio show. I’ve used a lot of them myself and continue to do so even though my kids are 20, 18, 16 and 14. Favourites from my childhood include “You cut, I choose” (you have never seen such exact measuring…) and “I’ll give you something to cry about”

This is so funny and I think I have used just about all of the sayings and still do sometimes even though my kids are 27,25,23,and 21 and now I have 2 grandchildren that I can use them on as well
    Have Fun
    Helen
