Kissing is more of a verification, than a decision. It is too complex to explain this a in a single comment. Instead, I suggest to read my article at someonecz.blogspot.com/2007/11/first-kiss.html

Oh, yes! You can totally tell. The first time USF kissed me, I was a goner. On our next date, the whole evening, I was looking forward to the goodnight kiss. Talk about tension!

I think you can tell a lot from a first kiss. I'm more apt to be drawn to a man who moves in slowly, takes his time and doesn't rush things in comparison to one who zooms in, bumps noses, jabs his tongue down your throat.

He's in too much of a hurry, too demanding, and puts off a I'll take you whether you're ready for me or not attitude. Not a good thing when you think of how that may affect his lovemaking techniques as well. If he rushes in for the kill with a simple kiss, he may well have the same methods in bed.

I like a good rowdy romp, but from a first kiss, I don't want to feel like he's just after sex and will leave me unsatisfied and baffled. It does seem to set off something in my brain that makes it an instant turn off.

I put a LOT of emphasis on the emotional connection of a kiss. But I also believe that looking into your partner's eyes does something to the physical reaction you have to them as well. Windows to the soul I suppose.

I saw those articles the other day and thought they both were one-sided - towards the man. But that could just be me.

Anyway, I do think the first kiss can tell a lot. It can give you an idea of what's on the guy's mind - his intentions. But again, could just be me. :)
