So they must paint over it. There is no way to actually get it off. So the very lovely restoration people are here painting it even as we speak. And my insurance will cover it after the deductible. But when they looked at the fence they said it's definitely going to be more than my deductible, so I guess I'm sort of getting a deal. Still, it's the feeling of being violated that is worse than the fence itself. And that will last long after I can no longer see what they did. Do they make Killz for outdoors? It's basically a primer. Say you have dark brown walls but want to paint them light beige- you put a coat or two of Killz on it beforehand. That's the only thing I know of that covers old paint or "killz" dark paint under a new coat. Might check to see if you can find an outdoor type like that. Hope you find something! {{{hugs}}} What makes me want to hide? Toy commercials that make my 4 year old holler "I want that I want that! Please get that for me." That's all commercials though, the grandparents have spoiled her rotten. Another thing that happened recently- our neighbor lets there basset hound run loose(we live in the country) and I kept saying she'd get hit because she didn't seem to be a very smart dog-chasing the bus in the mornings baying at the kids not to leave her behind. It worried me, and sure enough, one night really late she got hit by a car and I think her hips got broken, or one of her legs. She couldn't walk and I tried to go over and let them know because it happened up the road from my house. No one was home and it was really late. The dog survived though and made it across the long stretch of our property back home. Do they keep her indoors or on a chain now? NO. I'm not really much of a dog person, but it makes me so mad that I want to scream when people have so little respect for their pets and don't do what's necessary to protect them. Especially out in the country. People fly through here like maniacs and these neighbors have lost a lot of pets because they don't do what's right. I used to teach at a poor school in a T-building outside. Every weekend the outside of our classrooms got vandalized. The maintenance people had to paint over it. It probably was gangs, Jenna. What puts me in a cave is when I hear kids talking about how they have to have that new designer label $500 purse, pair of shoes, jeans, etc. It's so frustrating to see kids get caught up in the myth that material things will make you happy.
