    Yes!

  2. Taryn Raye Says:

Oh, that’s too funny. Had to share that with my kids, who loved it. Cat reminds me too much of my own little furball meowing at me!

  3. Jenna Petersen Says:

Yeah, one of mine combs and bites my head if I don’t wake up. The other gets on to the dresser and paws the mirror obsessively.

    That was hilarious!!!

  4. Crystal Says:

Ohmygosh this is sooo funny. My cat wakes me every morning at almost exactly the same time. If only I could program him for when I WANTED to get up.

  5. Shirley Karr Says:

We used to have mornings like that. Spider, who weighed 15 lbs in his prime, knew exactly where one’s bladder was and would stand on one leg exactly there. Okay maybe it only *felt* like he was putting all his weight in that spot.

The cure for the kitty alarm clock is a baby. We’re up so late or so early the kitties don’t have a chance to wake us up.

  6. Laura Says:

OMG that was too funny. Mine is more about barks and 60 lbs (the small one, mind you!) dogs.

  7. Clarisse Says:

My cat is pretty reasonable but when the alarm goes off and I don’t get right up to let her out our dog reaches across my sleeping head and turns the lamp on (it’s one of those that goes on when you touch it). NOT making this up! Turns the frickin’ lamp on!

I’m still laughing - love it. I have 7 cats so needless to say I have lots of mornings like this.

  9. Shirley Karr Says:

Btw, was it you, Anne, who told us about the insidious Cat Dancer cat toy? I figured for $3 I’d give it a try since our kitties had lost interest in the other toys.

HOLY COW do they like it! We have to store it on top of the frig because Derby will climb anywhere to get it, knock it the floor and bring it to us. He growls if Dakarai comes near when he’s playing with it. We trip over him when we go to the kitchen because he shadows our every move in the hope we’ll make it dance for him. If we’re slow on the uptake, he’ll lead us to the frig and look up at it and then to us with those big sad eyes until we give in and play. And the cat has no off-switch when it comes to this toy. Even if he’s tired of jumping after it, he still wants to *watch* it dance and gets annoyed when we put it away.
