Happy Halloween!

Jaunty here, surrounded by goodies the one day a year when everyone dresses like their favorite animal - the porcupine! You’ve got your porcupine ghoulies and ghosties, sharp-nosed witches, pointy-eared elves and prickly princesses! Take a quill and invite a guest! Get ready to go on your candy quest! Hurry up and get dressed! Fashion your hair into a nest! This will be your porcupine test! Muahahaha! Sugar!!!!

*crunches some sugary bark, followed by a caffeinated twig chaser*

   Mmmmm, chocolates…Twix, M&M’s, Reese’s…. I used to really dig 100 Grand’s too. And Whatchamacalits. Oh, and Milk Duds. And Whoppers. And Rollo’s. And Hershey’s kisses. And Crunch bars. And Snickers, can’t forget those.

   Oh, and can I have some of the other stuff too? Cuz’ I have a real love of Sweettarts. And Caramel apples. Oh, and…

   Ahh…candy corn!! I just bought a bag this weekend and my big sister came over and stole it. We both LOVE it and look forward to Halloween just to get our hands on some (I know, they sell it year round but its just not the same)!

   I’m with brownone….I love candy corn!! I love chocolate all the time, but my favorite Halloween candy is definitely candy corn!

   CHOCOLATE!!!! I’ve never been a candy corn fan, I don’t hate it (the way I hate Peeps) but if it’s lying around I can ignore it. But chocolate, nope, can’t ignore it. Love it. Halloween is also generally the first time I make sugar cookies for the year. I’m about to decorate them now - I have bats, ghosts, pumpkins, and candy corn-shaped.

    Robyn, how can you hate Peeps? The sheer joy of biting their little heads off more than compensates for their sugary, vapid taste.

    I love any kind of toffee (can we say Thornton’s?). I also am a sucker (no pun intended, really) for Tootsie Pops. Wunderbars, Oh Henrys and Skor bars. I’m gaining weight as I type….

    I can’t eat chocolate this year so I am donating my portion of the chocolate haul to Jaunty’s sweet tooth. May he enjoy it in good health!!!
