Wild Weekend

Written by Kimberly Logan in Jaunty Post

Snicker. Okay, I haven’t had one of those since…hmmm…er…well, let’s just say I can’t remember the last time. I’ve never been a big partier and was never the sort of person who liked to get together with a big group of people and go barhopping or clubbing, even in my early twenties. And even without kids or a significant other right now, my idea of a great weekend is a quiet one spent curled up with a good book or in front of the T.V. for my favorite shows. (Although I don’t mind the occasional dinner and a movie out with friends.)

So with the weekend coming up, it seemed like a good time to ask. What do you like to do with your weekend? Do you enjoy going out with friends and family or are you a homebody, like me? Or is there a secret wild child in you? Do you still have the occasional wild weekend? I promise, we won’t tell. ;)

Um, I pretty much have to work all weekend–not too wild there. USF and I are going on a date Saturday night: dinner and a movie. We pretty much just need to relax, so we’re also getting a massage before we go. Ahhh.

My weekends usually consist of me and my computer, a good book, and playing the High School Musical board game with my kids. :)

I do occasionally go out with my girlfriends to a movie & hit up the local bar.

Pretty much dullsville around here. But, that’s usually how I like it.

Hey, Linda, that sounds good to me. :) And a massage sounds wonderful right about now, Shana. Talk about pampering yourself. Mmmm…

My idea of a great weekend is time to relax after a stressful work week. It includes playing on the computer, listening to music, reading and watching some shows I’ve recorded on my DVR and just being lazy. Maybe I’ll throw in a swim or a nice walk in the neighborhood. Oh, and once in a while I’ll add in a little cleaning if I feel like it. (Can you tell I live alone?)

The first twenty-six years of my life or so, I was a homebody. Now you can’t keep me in my condo. Wild! No child!

Uh, yeah, the latter would make things a little hard. But it’s fun to try the single scene out in a way I never thought it would be.
