Amazing Pets

I don’t know about you, but my cats are always trying to be helpful. For example, my cat Suki likes to help when I am cleaning the bathroom sink.

My cat Roxie likes to help when I need to take clothes to the drycleaners.

Such helpful kitties! Of course, I don’t think even my wonderful babies can compare to some of the stories I’ve read about helpful pets.

A few years ago, a dog rescued an abandoned baby and brought her to join its litter of puppies.

In this article, a dog called 9-1-1 to save her owner’s life.

This dog saved his owner by doing the Heimlich maneuver! I’m not even sure I can do the Heimlich maneuver.

I wonder if Suki knows how to dial 9-1-1?

Hodge Podge

Okay, today is going to be a hodge podge of items…

First….we have a title for my second book. It will be out in May 2008 (actually on shelves late April)…..it’s title is ONE NIGHT STAND. It wasn’t a title anyone here suggested. Or even one I suggested. My editor came up with it and I like it. I think when coupled with a great cover, it’ll make readers at least pick it up…and then they’ll be hooked and have to buy it (fingers crossed)

Second…Shug is doing well….although he did get bumped by my husband’s pick-up. He had a bad habit of crossing in front of our vehicles when we were driving down the lane (we live on a acreage so the lane is longer than a normal driveway) either when we were coming home or leaving. The good news is that he wasn’t hurt and now Shug is much more careful around cars and trucks. I’m hoping that this little run-in will actually prevent Shuggy from getting hurt in the future.

Third…Old films….I realized that I still have some old favorites. Like Legally Blonde, Clueless and Never Been Kissed. I’ve watched them all this past week. And the good news is that it had been so long since I watched most of them, I’d forgotten a lot of the plot so it was like watching them fresh. Do you ever do that…reread a favorite book from several years back? Watch a movie that was once your favorite? Tonight I just wanted to be entertained and not stressed out watching television. Soooo, I watched Clueless and now feel relaxed and ready for a weekend of writing!

The Jaunties Go Dark
