Time Wasters

Are you a procrastinator?

I’ve always been a task-oriented person, and my nursing career was well-suited to it. Now that I’m a full time Creative person, I find it much harder to meet my goals. It doesn’t help that I’m a perfectionist, either. My internal editor will never shut up!

Recently my so-called friends have been sending me interactive web sites, designed to keep me from achieving my writing goals … or any goals, for that matter! So now I’m going to share them with you and then I can truly say that I don’t know anybody who gets anything done in February. :)

Or how about this?

Puzzles, too!

I’m in serious trouble here!

Margo, you are evil to pass those along. What is wrong with your friends? Don’t they know writers have no control? As if I needed another thing to spend my time on…

Those are interesting, Margo, but my favorite on-line diversion is:

It’s like a cross between Scrabble and Boggle. The cool thing is you can play an untimed version, so you can play for a bit, then leave it, then come back when you need another, um, break.
I keep meaning to form a support group for people like us — Procrastinators Anonymous — but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. ;-)

I know! These puzzles are the worst! Did you see where you can choose another one? Try this one http://www.jigzone.com/z.php?i=3D055D50156A&z=7

I couldn’t even begin to figure out how to put the orange tabby together. I think I am missing the puzzle gene. Anne, I’m so impressed with you!

I did several of the puzzles. My average time was about 5-6 minutes on each one. Not the best but not the lowest either. Of course, I love doing puzzles at home…have about 40 or so of them. Some are in frames lol.

BTW you ladies are evil for sharing these! As if I don’t have enough stuff to do.

If you need me, I’m be playing that bookworm game ;)

Here’s another good time waster…don’t remember where I got it but it came from one of the boards. Anyone who remembers the electronic game called ‘Simon’? Where here you go…play on-line to your heart’s content!!
