It’s Devil’s Night tonight, though that might be more of a Michigan thing. Have you non-Michiganders heard of it? In the spirit of hooligans everywhere (we’ll just go for the spirit of the good natured, mischievous ones, not the ones with ill-intent that thrive on Devil’s Night) go out and TP a shrub in your front yard! Just for kicks.
Margo, I’m looking at you!

Oh yeah – Devil’s night is big here in southeastern Michigan – I actually have to make sure I keep my cats inside this week, especially Bob, the black one. People can be really wacko.

It’s the thought of Jaunty Quill taking over RI that truly worry us…anyone seen him?

I’ve been away from the Flint/Flushing, MI for about 7 years now but before I left, police departments would have extra people on duty to keep the kids under control (or at least try to) and firemen would be kept busy with all the fires that were set. This type of thing seemed to happen more in the Detroit area but also took place in outstate to a lesser degree. In the couple of years just before I left MI, it seemed to be more under control and not happening so much. But still didn’t like to hear about those things happening. I haven’t heard of those types of things happening here in the Raleigh area and hopefully it won’t either.

Anne I knew you were from Michigan, but I didn’t know Margo was; how cool!! Anyway – I must have done something really right this year; the houses on both sides of me were tp’d, but not mine!! Sometimes it pays off to be the “cool” mom of the neighborhood.
