Haiku your way to a book

ARC to give away
At the strike of 12 today
Will your name be drawn?

Comments made today count in the drawing. Winner to be randomly drawn at midnight PST! Winner will receive a signed ARC of my November release, The Earl of Her Dreams. :D

Post a haiku – goofy, book-related or otherwise – or, as last week, just comment about your day/weekend. :D

Haikus for The Earl of Her Dreams:

Christian seeks a book
Kate Simon, a place to hide
Will the two collide?

A murder within
Secrets too dark to be told
Mystery abounds.

Love, the greatest gift
Embracing it the challenge
In the midst of change

I am too frazzled to think of a haiku poem. It’s been hectic lately. Yesterday was my bithday. Tomorrow I am going into the hospital to have my baby girl by c-section. I am so excited.

Haiku? Had no idea what the format was and had to look it up. But, I’ll give it a try:

    A pretty lass, Kate
    Shivers in a frigid place
    Comfort eases close

    Haunted, Christian hides
    Snow encases, hearts will melt
    Love waits in quiet

    Death strikes unannounced
    Senses rise like tidal waves
    Lovers trust again.

I am having a wonderful, wonderful day. First, I finished a submission finally for the Regency contest (got 3 votes so far. I keep checking!) It felt so good to have written and finished something, maybe only one chapter. But it’s something.
Second, last week we got a high speed connection, but my old computer in the basement, a true dinosaur) couldn’t handle it. So, I got a new Gateway computer on sale for under $400! It’s fast. It’s small. It’s beautiful. This is the first computer I’ve gotten new and I love, love it.

And hey, Cheri Japp–A baby girl tomorrow! More wonderful than my day!

Anything for an ARC from you…..

….. well its poetry to my ears….

    Kate makes an escape
From a marriage she would hate
    And hides at an inn

    Christian has a past
But a murder at an inn
    While all is snowed in

    A sweet kiss is shared
    Burning desires spark passions
    Will we get a HEA

    We will have to wait
    Until the November date
    To hit the bookstores.

    Well there is my try
    At a little Haiku poem
    Hope you enjoy it.

Hehe, too much fun. I love writing poetry, in all forms.
