Well, we are heading into the Labor Day weekend and swiftly leaving August behind. It’s so hard to believe that the summer is almost over! I will definitely be spending the next few days “laboring” as I continue to pound away at the keyboard trying to finish my next book. Deadline is fast approaching, so I hope you’ll forgive me for the brevity of this week’s blog entry as I am in the midst of a major marathon writing session.
So, what are your plans for the holiday weekend? Family picnics? Just relaxing? Taking in a good movie? Those commercials keep claiming it’s a good time to go see Pirates of the Carribbean 2 again, which doesn’t sound like a bad idea. (Wink-wink, Shirley! How many times have you seen it by now?) And I’ve seen some previews for a couple of movies that look really good, The Illusionist and The Covenant. I’m dying to see them, but it will probably be a few weeks before I have the time to do so.
Since I’m chained to my desk, I’ll have to listen to all of your plans and sigh longingly…
Have a great long weekend everyone!

My parents saw The Illusionist and said it was really good. They also saw Little Miss Sunshine and praised that. Notice that I’m telling you what my parents did. I’m not doing anything this holiday either. Ultimate Sportsfan is living up to his name this time of year. It’s football time Friday and Saturday and Monday. So I’ll be home by myself, depressed and lonely. (yes, you can feel sorry for me now). Actually, I do have one thing planned. I think my sister and I are going to go salsa dancing on Saturday night. We’ve been taking classes for a month, and it’s time to try our moves in the real world. Wish me luck!

Good luck laboring this weekend! Hope it’s productive.
I’m actually going to be doing “fall cleaning” this weekend (such fun)–we always do that just before school starts to get everyone’s bedrooms and stuff all cleared up.
I’ll also be celebrating ’cause I finished my latest book, turned it in, and already got my revisions back–and they’re wayyy easier than I’d expected. YAY!
